“Hearsay” series

In this series, I start with a photograph I’ve taken while walking in the city, then use pen and ink to create a drawing inspired by the photograph.

The drawing is not meant to duplicate the photograph or in any way be representational.

The drawing then serves as a springboard for the third piece in the series, which is usually a print. For this particular print, I used a combination of collagraph and relief printing techniques:

The fourth and last piece in the series is inspired by the third piece. Usually it’s a mixed media piece. For this particular piece, I drew with pen and ink on top of a gelli print:
